Southborough Meals on Wheels volunteer drivers needed

Volunteers Needed!

The Home Delivered Meals Program provides older adults with a nutritious lunch delivered to their door up to 5 days per week. It is an essential tool to prevent food insecurity, malnutrition, and social isolation when mobility challenges, illness, or disability make it difficult to grocery shop and prepare food. Springwell serves 550,000 meals annually across our service area. We always need more volunteer drivers.

Please volunteer to join us for a shift or two each week if the following qualifications make this opportunity a good fit for you:

• Must be 18, have a reliable car, a current driver’s license, and a clean driving record;
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds; and
• Must meet the regulatory pre-requisites for the position.

Springwell will train volunteers and provide ongoing support to make sure each volunteer has the resources needed to deliver meals to older adults relying on this service.
