Angel/11th Hour Volunteer- Hiring for Various Locations (Adams/Cumberland/Dauphin/Perry Counties)

Are you a special someone who can provide a compassionate presence at the bedside of someone who is actively dying?

This is an opportunity to provide a most amazing service to our patients at the very end of life who might have no one to sit with them; to families that would like company/support at the bedside of their loved ones at the final moments; and to facility staff who are unable to sit with dying patients but want to assure that their patients have someone by their side.

We are looking for volunteers to join our 11th Hour / Angel Volunteer team. 11th Hour volunteers are available to sit bedside with our patients who are actively dying in shifts of 1-4 hours. The 11th Hour volunteers provide support, in shifts, over a period of 24 hours or up to several days. An 11th hour volunteer does not require a regular schedule of visits for patients; instead, 11th hour volunteers provide intermittent visits over short, but intense periods of time.

A thorough training is provided free of charge. Background check and TB testing are required and provided free of charge.
