The Opportunity

Virtual Hospitals Africa is seeking a Volunteer Director of Marketing to help raise awareness, strengthen partnerships, and support fundraising efforts for this high-impact healthcare initiative.

This is a strategic leadership role for someone passionate about global health, social innovation, and nonprofit growth.

The Director of Marketing will guide the organization’s communications strategy, build our online presence, and help identify funding opportunities including grants and corporate partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee VHA’s marketing and communications strategy.
• Lead social media campaigns to increase visibility and engagement.
• Identify and canvass grant opportunities, philanthropic donors, and CSR funding sources.
• Support preparation of grant proposals, donor communications, and partnership materials.
• Manage VHA’s digital presence, including social media channels and newsletters.
• Promote VHA’s research collaborations, pilot programs, and public health initiatives.
• Develop compelling messaging that communicates the impact of telehealth in underserved communities.

Skills & Experience

We welcome candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Nonprofit marketing or communications
• Digital marketing and social media strategy
• Grant research or fundraising
• Public relations or brand development
• Interest in global health, telemedicine, or digital health innovation
