Volunteer: Head of Community & Strategic Partnerships (90-Day Pilot)

L.I.T.E. is a growing nonprofit focused on identity, self-worth, healing, and empowerment. We are in an early but pivotal stage transitioning from vision and initial programming into structured growth, deeper community presence, and strategic expansion.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a high-level volunteer leader to own and build our Community & Partnerships function from the ground up.

This is a builder + strategist position for someone who understands how to create meaningful partnerships, expand community reach, and turn relationships into tangible opportunities (events, programs, collaborations, and long-term ecosystem growth).

You will work directly with leadership and have real influence over how L.I.T.E. grows.

What You’ll Own

• Develop and execute a community and partnerships strategy aligned with our mission and growth goals
• Identify, prioritize, and secure high-value partnerships (organizations, nonprofits, brands, community groups, etc.)
• Help design collaboration opportunities (events, workshops, co-hosted initiatives, resource sharing)
• Build and manage a partnership pipeline and outreach system
• Establish foundational systems for tracking, communication, and follow-through
• Advise leadership on community growth opportunities and positioning

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in partnerships, business development, community building, or strategic outreach
• Strong networker and relationship builder who knows how to open doors
• Ability to think strategically and execute independently
• Experience building systems, not just maintaining them
• Clear communicator with confidence in representing an organization externally
• Passion for mission-driven work (mental health, identity, empowerment, community impact)

90-Day Focus

• Build a clear partnerships strategy
• Initiate and secure initial partnership conversations
• Launch 1–3 meaningful collaborations or activations
• Create a repeatable system for ongoing growth
