Fundraising (Volunteer, Hybrid/Remote)

We are looking for a hands-on volunteer experienced with fundraising to refine and expand our existing efforts. This position will have access to our contacts database and communication tools. Familiarity with kidney disease would be a plus.

• Create end of year fundraising campaign (starting on Giving Tuesday): design theme, write emails, design postcard? and coordinate with the Board. Compile statistics of donors: repeat donors, first time donors, etc.
• Work with members to make donations, especially those with employer match
• Work with vendors (dialysis companies, doctors, hospitals, etc.) for donations/grants
• Find and apply for county, state and federal grants
• Establish and maintain good rapport with donors
• Acknowledge donors with personal handwritten thank you cards
• Create and send tax deduction letters

It would be helpful if you have graphic and online publishing experience to create compelling social media materials to attract funders.
