Post Adoption Individual Support

Are you passionate about animal welfare and want to help rescued pets find their perfect homes? Dulce Vida Animal Rescue is looking for dedicated Post Adoption Support Volunteer to join our volunteer team.

About Us:

Dulce Vida Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving California and Mexico. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome sick, abused, and abandoned dogs and cats. We also provide spay and neuter services through local clinic partnerships and promote responsible pet ownership within our communities.

Role Summary:

Love animals and want to make a difference with every adoption? As a Post Adoption Support Volunteer, you’ll play an essential role in creating an ongoing, positive, experience for Dulce Vida Rescue graduates and their adoptees! This is a customer care role where professionalism, excitement, and triaging are essential to maintain our relationships with our Dulce Vida family.

You Will Be Responsible For:

• Maintaining a personal bond between the family and Dulce Vida Rescue
• Frequent check-ins with families who have already adopted dogs to see how the adoption is going
• Providing guidance (FAQs, encouragement, etc.), resources (trainers, vets, groomers - whatever they need), and support to adopters as needed
• Ensuring the continued well-being of adopted animals and strengthening positive adopter relationships

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Passion for animal welfare
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Experience with dog ownership
• Ability to answer questions related to dog health, pet ownership, and recommendations
