2026 Corporate Walk Chair Role Description
Blood Cancer United has one goal: A world without blood cancer.
The Corporate Walk Chair will lead the effort in accelerating new corporate support and driving revenue growth for Light The Night to support Blood Cancer United. The Chair of Light The Night will lead for one year and remain on the Executive Committee as Chair Emeritus for one additional year.
Role Summary
Personally
- Conduct a personal fundraising campaign as part of the Executive Challenge. ($10K Impact)
- Make a meaningful personal gift.
At Your Company
- Serve as a presenting or top tier Sponsor. ($75,000 “give or get”)
- Identify an internal Corporate Champion to engage employees, lead a corporate team, and a business partner campaign. ($100,000 Impact)
In The Community
- Recruit an Executive Committee of 10+ Senior Executives to drive revenue ($100K Impact Target)
- Secure a presenting level sponsorship (could be your company)
- Host and lead a Leadership Launch along with the Executive Committee.
- Work with Blood Cancer United staff to recruit new partners as sponsors, Executive Challengers, and fundraising teams.
Mission Engagement
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the Blood Cancer United mission by engaging in mission education and information provided by Blood Cancer United.
- Develop your personal story or “why” to share with prospects and constituents.
- Serve the next year on the committee as Chair Emeritus
2026 Executive Committee Member Role Description
Blood Cancer United has one goal: A world without blood cancers.
Executive Committee Members lead by example through their personal fundraising efforts, corporate sponsorship, and corporate fundraising. Additionally, Executive Committee Members work to secure new partners within the community as sponsors and corporate teams. Simply stated, Executive Committee Members help Blood Cancer United drive NEW REVENUE and help Light The Night achieve its overarching goal.
