Garden Site Steward

What This Role Is About

We need volunteers to play a key role in caring for our community green space as our Site Steward. Through weekly walk-throughs, your volunteer tasks help ensure the space remains clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone who uses it. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys being outdoors, values community pride, and wants to make a visible, lasting impact. Volunteers must be at least 15 years of age. A parent or guardian must accompany volunteers under the age of 18.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct a weekly walk-through of the green space
• Check for cleanliness, safety concerns, or maintenance needs
• Remove small debris or litter when possible
• Identify and report hazardous items, vandalism, or maintenance needs
• Help uphold the space as a welcoming and respectful environment for everyone

Time Commitment

• About 30-45 minutes a week
• Flexible scheduling based on volunteer availability

• Clear point of contact for reporting issues or concerns
• Optional recognition in volunteer communications
