    Descripción

    Purpose of Position:

    The Volunteer Event Photographer plays a key role in capturing the heart and mission of The Salvation Army by documenting community events, programs, and outreach efforts at it's three (3) key locations in Solano Country. Through high-quality photography, this volunteer will help tell the story of The Salvation Army’s impact-highlighting community engagement, promoting programs, and showcasing lives being touched. Photos will be used for marketing, outreach, social media, and historical documentation, ensuring the mission and message of The Salvation Army are shared with clarity and inspiration.

    The Salvation Army Mission Statement:

    The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

    Responsibilities:

    ⦁ Attend Salvation Army events (primarily evenings and weekends) alongside Salvation Army staff

    ⦁ Capture high-quality photos of participants, volunteers, and activities in action

    ⦁ Upload and share photos with the Marketing team by the assigned deadline

    ⦁ Represent The Salvation Army in a professional and friendly manner

    ⦁ Comply with privacy and photo-release boundaries as directed by staff

    Qualifications:

    ⦁ Must be 18 years or older

    ⦁ Basic photography experience preferred; portfolio helpful or relevant example of photography preferred

    ⦁ Comfortable photographing people and events in both indoor and outdoor settings

    ⦁ Willing to use personal camera or use equipment provided by The Salvation Army

    ⦁ Reliable, punctual, and self-directed

    ⦁ Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check

    ⦁ Must have own transportationto event sites in Suisun City, Fairfield, and Vallejo

    Schedule & Time Commitment:

    ⦁ Flexible scheduling based on upcoming events

    ⦁ Primarily evenings and weekends

    Additional Information:

    ⦁ Orientation and training will be provided

    ⦁ Volunteers will receive photo credit when appropriate

    ⦁ Eligible for service hour verification and letters of recommendation
