Manage media inquiries at assigned Red Cross service delivery site, including requests for client and/or volunteer interviews in coordination with the on-call PA officer. Respond on scene 24/7 to help provide PA support for incidents that meet PA triggers
Greet the media, who are on-site covering the disaster, and provide them with timely, accurate information about Red Cross services being provided and available to victims.
- Excellent public speaking skills; strong writing skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to details
- Access to cell/mobile phone
- Valid driver’s license, access to personal vehicle and a good driving record
- The hours of commitment vary as disaster events are unpredictable and often happen in waves
- Media experience preferred
