Compassionate Care Hospice in Bedminster is looking for people to brighten the days of our patients on their end-of-life journey. This can be done remotely through pen pal letters, birthday cards or tuck-in-calls. It can be done in person with companionship visits, vigil sitting and respite care.
Do you have an hour or two a week or more? Hospice volunteering will fill your heart and make a change in each patient's day. The comfort and connection mean the world to the patients, care givers and care teams. Every contact from our volunteers no matter how small brings sunshine into some dark days.
All the roles are scheduled when they work for you and are very flexible. There is an onboarding process of paperwork and training, a background check using your driver's license or passport. You need to be over 18 for in person care and 16 for remote roles. You also have to be in the US. To do in person roles you will need to have a TB test, proof or MMR vaccination and a flu vaccination.
The process starts by responding to this email and I can explain all the ins and outs of the roles and the onboarding process. I look forward to talking with you! My name is Kris and I am the regional volunteer coordinator.
I am looking forward to hearing from you. Just respond to the link above or the email address and I will explain everything and give you all the details. My job as the volunteer coordinator is to make volunteering easy, comfortable and rewarding.
