Administrative Assistant
Initiative: Beyond the Basics
Impact area: Basic Needs (food, clothing, housing)
Location: Hartford, CT
Hours: Weekdays, 10:00am-3:00pm
Desired level of commitment: At least twice per week
Duration: Year-round
Age requirement: 18+
Tasks may include:
- Answering phones
- Taking messages
- Distributing weekly bulletins
- Distributing monthly newsletters
In order to volunteer you should be:
- A registered UAServe volunteer (you will have a chance to register if you haven't already)
- Willing to attend an orientation and training prior to volunteering
- Willing to submit a background check
- Open to an ongoing volunteer opportunity that works with your schedule
- Friendly
- Able to receive people with all walks of life warmly and with compassion
