🌿 Bereavement Support Hospice Volunteers Needed

Amedisys Hospice of Murfreesboro is seeking compassionate Bereavement Support Volunteers to help individuals and families navigate the journey of loss after the death of a loved one. Your empathy, presence, and listening ear can bring comfort and hope during one of life’s most vulnerable times.

🕊️ What Bereavement Volunteers Do

• Provide emotional support to grieving individuals through phone calls, written correspondence, and occasional in‑person visits
• Offer compassionate listening and companionship
• Assist with bereavement groups, memorial services, and remembrance activities
• Help families feel supported, heard, and not alone
• Work alongside our hospice team to extend care beyond the patient’s passing

🤍 Who Should Volunteer

• Caring, patient, and compassionate adults (18+)
• Individuals with strong listening skills and a supportive presence
• Those comfortable walking alongside individuals experiencing grief and loss
• Dependable and respectful of confidentiality
• No previous hospice or counseling experience required — training provided

📍 Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Completion of volunteer orientation and background screening
