CHA Columbus: Packing Weekend Meals
Descripción
Descripción
Volunteer opportunities:
PACKING WEEKEND MEALS: (Weekday afternoons) Volunteers will help pack shelf-stable food components into grab and go boxes at our warehouse. This includes packing the boxes as well as taping them closed with a tape gun and lifting boxes (30lbs+) onto a dolly or pallet. These boxes are distributed across the state at our meal sites. Most volunteers do this work standing for the entire 2-hour event. We can accommodate seated work at select stations.
BOX MAKING: (Weekday mornings) Volunteers will help build and prepare cardboard boxes, an essential part of getting meals ready to distribute to kids across Ohio. While it does not involve packing food directly, this prep work makes it possible for thousands of meals to reach children every weekend. This hands-on effort ensures our team has the supplies they need to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently.
