Dallas Pets Alive is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented volunteer to join our Marketing Team as a Marketing Coordinator - Adoption Container. In this role, you’ll play a key part in promoting DPA’s signature Adoption Container events, helping us tell the stories of adoptable pets and engage the community both online and in person.

Team: Marketing

Location: Hybrid - Virtual with occasional in person responsibilities at the Adoption Container in Dallas, TX.

Time Commitment: Flexible hours, with 3 - 5 hours per week. Requires at least 6 months of dedicated volunteer service.

Compensation: This is a Volunteer Position with no monetary compensation.

Reports to: Director of Marketing

Works with: Will have regular contact via email, phone, or virtually with the Marketing Director, Foster Director and Adoption Container Manager.

Position Responsibilities:

• Social Media & Content Creation: Develop engaging content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and other social platforms that highlight Adoption Container events and adoptable pets.
• Graphic Design: Create promotional graphics in Canva to support events and storytelling campaigns.
• On-Site Coverage: Visit the Adoption Container 2–3 times per month to capture photos, videos, and stories for social media and marketing.
• Event Support: Attend Adoption Container events to help with live storytelling, content gathering, and real-time promotion.
• Collaboration: Work directly with the Marketing Director, Foster Director, and Adoption Container Manager to ensure consistent branding, messaging, and timely content delivery.

Skills and Qualifications best suited for this position:

• Strong familiarity with TikTok and Instagram Reels (required).
• Experience with Canva or other graphic design tools.
• Comfortable capturing and editing photo/video content.
• Excellent written communication and storytelling abilities.
• Ability to attend in-person events in Dallas, TX.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• A positive, professional, and proactive attitude.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Related animal welfare or nonprofit experience preferred, but not required.
