New Socks/Fleece No Sew Blankets/Knitted hats and scarves

Put your knitting needles and crochet hooks to work and serve a purpose! We donate our volunteers' knitted & crocheted items to homeless shelters in York, Dauphin and Cumberland Counties. We also support 3 family life centers and 3 hospital hospice comfort blanket initiatives.

We also makefleece no sew blankets and crocheted plastic mats using recycled grocery bags as the material - called "plarn." We are always looking for patient crocheters to tmake these PLarn mats for us.

In addition to our crafted items, we provide custom hygiene kits and brand new cotton socks to shelters. If crafting isn't your wheelhouse, but organizing a donation drive is, then sponsoring a SOCK DRIVE or fundraising for our custom hygiene kits (we prefer financial support for our hygiene kits versus donated items as we need specific sizes and items). Holding a Sock Drive, or fundraising for our hygiene kit program, or getting your group together to make fleece no sew blanekts are perfect for groups or companies searching for a Community Service Project!

If crafting isn't your interest, we have other opportunities for volunteering behind the scenes on our distribution team (sorting, bagging, tagging, prepping donations), or donation deliveries where you pick up the items from our office and deliver them to the recipient agency.
