Social Media Coordinator

Must have reliable high speed internet, laptop or desktop computer, and quiet workspace for remote work. This is a volunteer position, no monetary compensation provided.

Role responsibilities:

• Post New Merch, Sales, Promotional Content to Instagram, Facebook
• Post Relevant News, Updates, and Information related to TMN Services
• Manage social media posts, content, and messages.
• Engage social media followers, reply to comments, filter out inappropriate posts/materials/content.
• Complete TMN Services Network volunteer on-boarding.
• Attend regular team meetings.
• Other responsibilities may occur as needs arise.

TMN Services Network serves the Transgender/Non-Binary community. Trans Matters Now (TMN) is a grassroots initiative which began as “Trans Lives Matter”, a non-profit in Seattle, WA, in January of 2012. In 2016, the current Executive Director was invited to join the team at Trans Lives Matter. In 2017, the previous administration stepped down, and the doors closed due to lack of funding. However, the Executive Director wanted to ensure this outreach continued to thrive.

Since then, the project was renamed “Trans Matters Now”, moving away from the appropriation of "Black Lives Matter".

TMN Services Network serves the 48 continental United States only. TMN connects trans people to the services that matter by offering assistance with Employment Services. TMN also offers links to nationwide resources which are transgender inclusive, such as: Suicide Prevention, Crisis Support, Housing & Shelters, Drop-in Centers, Medical Clinics & Hospitals, Legal Clinics & Firms, and Youth & Family Organizations.
