    Volunteer Coordinator

    Role Overview:

    As a volunteer coordinator with Women Helping Others of Tampa Bay, you will play a crucial role in recruiting, training, and managing volunteers to support the organization's programs and initiatives. You will work closely with the volunteer team and program managers to ensure that volunteers are effectively engaged and that their contributions align with the organization's mission and goals.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Volunteer Recruitment: Develop and implement strategies to recruit volunteers from diverse backgrounds and communities.

    Onboarding and Training: Coordinate orientation sessions and training programs for new volunteers to familiarize them with the organization's mission, values, and procedures.

    Volunteer Placement: Match volunteers with appropriate roles based on their skills, interests, and availability.

    Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for volunteers, providing support, guidance, and timely communication.

    Scheduling: Create and maintain volunteer schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for programs and events.

    Recognition and Appreciation: Develop and implement recognition programs to acknowledge volunteers' contributions and celebrate their achievements.

    Evaluation and Feedback: Collect feedback from volunteers and program managers to assess volunteer satisfaction and program effectiveness.

    Documentation: Maintain accurate records of volunteer activities, hours worked, and other relevant information.

    Qualifications:

    Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and motivate volunteers.

    Experience in volunteer management, recruitment, or coordination preferred.

    Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software.

    Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

    Passion for the mission and values of Women Helping Others of Tampa Bay.

    Time Commitment:

    This is a part-time volunteer position with flexible hours based on the needs of the organization. Volunteers are expected to commit to a minimum of 2 hours, with the option to increase the hours as needed during peak periods or events.
