The Deering Estate is having its Seafood Festival Sun, 12 Apr. Green Mobility Network is providing a Bike Valet so cyclists can safely leave their bikes while they enjoy the Festival. We need help assembling the racks, putting tickets on the right handlebar & assisting customers putting bikes on our racks from 9 AM to 5 PM. If you are coming by car you must be dropped off at Old Cutler Rd. & SW 168 St. or park at either Westminster School, 6855 SW 152 St. Palmetto Bay, FL 33157 or Palmetto Bay Village Center, on SW 184 St. east of Old Cutler Rd. also 33157. Students will get required Volunteer Hours. We have two shifts - 9 AM to 1 PM & 1 to 5 PM. Please contact Eric Tullberg at e341@bellsouth.net by Fri., 10 April if you can help.
The Deering Seafood Festival Bike Valet is located on the north side of SW 168 St., just east of Old Cutler Rd. During the Festival, no cars will be allowed on SW 168 St. Arange to be dropped off on Old Cutler Rd. or park at Westminster School, 6855 SW 152 St. Palmetto Bay, FL 33157 or Palmetto Bay Village Center, on SW 184 St. east of Old Cutler Rd. Shuttle buses will take to to the DESF. If you can ride your bike - of course we will park it for you.
Bring your volunteer hours sheets and we will fill them out after your shift. Otherwise we will e-mail you a letter stating how many hours you volunteered.
