Volunteer Resource Mobilization & Fundraising Officer
Help Transform the Lives of Vulnerable Children and Young People in Kakuma Refugee Camp, Kenya
Every child deserves safety, education, dignity, and the opportunity to dream.
Restore Hope for Vulnerable Children (RHVC) is a refugee-led, community-based organization based in Kakuma Refugee Camp, Kenya. We work with vulnerable children, orphaned children, street-connected children, and young people who face the daily realities of displacement, poverty, family separation, violence, and limited access to education and opportunities.
Today, RHVC supports more than 212 vulnerable children and young people through programmes focused on:
- Child protection and safeguarding
- Education support
- School feeding
- Psychosocial support
- Life skills development
- Digital skills training
- Youth empowerment
- Hygiene and health promotion
- Family strengthening
- Community resilience
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Volunteer Resource Mobilization & Fundraising Officer who believes that every child deserves the chance to thrive.
What You Will Do
As part of our international volunteer team, you will help strengthen RHVC's sustainability by supporting resource mobilization and strategic fundraising efforts.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Identifying grant opportunities from foundations, NGOs, corporations, and international donors.
- Assisting with grant writing and proposal development.
- Researching potential funding partners and strategic collaborations.
- Supporting donor engagement and relationship management.
- Helping develop fundraising campaigns and donor communications.
- Identifying opportunities for in-kind donations, including computers, educational materials, technology, and other resources.
- Supporting partnership development with organizations, companies, universities, and philanthropic networks.
- Advising on long-term fundraising and sustainability strategies.
