Skin cancer is the most prevalent cancer in the United States. Luckily, skin cancer is largely preventable and can be effectively treated when detected early. Most skin cancers are associated with exposure to harmful Ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun or tanning beds. By educating individuals about the importance of sun-safety, self-checks, and screening, we can save lives.
The Sun Bus is a Dermatology mobile clinic that provides free skin cancer screening, sun safety education, and sunscreen.
The Sun Bus represents a unified effort between medical and dermatology professionals, pharmaceutical and biotechnology businesses, cancer researchers, and the community to prevent skin cancers.
We are looking for a program assistant who will be responsible for maintaining and managing Mail Chimp and The Sun Bus communications with its constituents and sponsors. For more information on The Sun Bus, please check our website thesunbus.org.
