Are you someone who believes in the power of presence? Our hospice team is looking for compassionate volunteers to provide companionship and a listening ear to patients at the end of life.
As a hospice Patient Visiting volunteer, you’ll offer:
- Comfort through conversation
- A calming presence for those who may feel alone
- Respite for caregivers who need a moment to rest
Your visits—just an hour or two a week—can make a world of difference to someone’s final days.
If your heart is called to bring peace, comfort and connection into the homes of those nearing life’s end, we’d love to hear from you.
Other Hospice volunteer opportunities could include:
- Administrative/Office Support
- Helping with Events and Special Projects
- Bereavement or Spiritual Care Support
- Licensed Pet Therapy or Music Therapy Volunteer

Additional information:
Must be 18 years of age, have not experienced a significant loss within the last year, be able to pass a criminal background check, able to commit to serving for at least 6 months or more, able to commit to a consistent schedule if patient facing within volunteer role, and must complete the required Volunteer training provided by MyMichigan Hospice.
