Looking for volunteers with heart to help us teach tennis to kids with autism in Nashville, TN!
No tennis experience is necessary! Our goal is to help these children build social skills, fine and gross motor skills, and an interest in fitness — with a strong focus on fun.
Volunteers receive training and are paired one-on-one with a participant to help them through the motions of tennis using various drills and games. We hope our volunteers and participants form a bond and friendship over the course of each session. Volunteers who return each week find the most value in this experience and get to see the meaningful strides our athletes make.
ACEing Autism programs vary in frequency, with some taking place once a season or once a year, depending on location and scheduling.
Volunteers ages 14 and up are welcome, including high school and college students, retirees, and community members of all backgrounds.
