📍 Location: The Post / Neon Gardens, 26 N. Macdonald, Mesa, AZ

🚶 Route: 1.3-mile walk

Role Overview

Route Support Volunteers play a key role in ensuring a safe, supportive, and encouraging experience for participants during the 2026 Arizona Take Steps walk. Volunteers will assist at designated street crossings and water stations along the 1.3-mile route.

Responsibilities

Street Crossing Support

• Help guide walkers safely across designated intersections
• Alert participants of oncoming walkers and route directions
• Provide encouragement and positive energy along the route
• Communicate with event staff if any safety concerns arise

Water Station Support

• Set up and distribute water to participants
• Keep water tables stocked and organized
• Encourage walkers and celebrate participants as they pass
• Assist with light cleanup after the final walkers pass

Volunteer Details

👕 Volunteer t-shirts will be provided

⏱️ Volunteers should plan to remain at their assigned location for the duration of the event

🙌 No prior experience required — just a positive attitude and willingness to help

☀️ This is an outdoor event; comfortable clothing and sunscreen recommended
