Food Pantry Volunteer

We are looking for help with our delivery food pantry that supports households in Greater Fulton.

We need:

Delivery drivers on the 1st Friday and 3rd Friday of each month. A personal vehicle is required to make the deliveries.

1. The 1st Friday volunteer must be able to lift 45 lb boxes out of their vehicle and walk and place them onto the porches of our neighbors. This route has eight deliveries and takes about 45 minutes. This includes a couple of stops outside of Greater Fulton in East Henrico.
2. 3rd Friday volunteers must be able to repetitively lift 25 lb grocery bags out of their vehicle and walk and place the bags onto porches. All routes are local to Greater Fulton and one route takes about 45 minutes.

Bag packers on the 3rd Thursday of each month. This volunteer role takes place at our building. It takes about 45 minutes to pack the bags and this slot opens at 11 AM, but we can be flexible about the time.

We require the completion of a virtual volunteer orientation via Google Meet and a visit to our center to complete a volunteer application before volunteering for your first shift.
