Descripción
VITAS Healthcare is looking for musical volunteers who can play instruments and/or sing for hospice patients living at home or in a senior community.
By playing or singing a patient’s favorite songs or hymns, our volunteers help them reconnect with feelings and memories from the past. It brings about a wonderful sense of peace and happiness.
VITAS provides free training and orientation on how to work with patients at the end of life. The volunteers provide the music, compassion, and time. Assignments are flexible and made according to the volunteer’s time and location.
