This volunteer position supports the Regional Disaster Cycle Services (DCS) department by helping implement the Community Engagement and Partnerships (CEP) plan. The goal is to build strong relationships with external organizations, expand capacity, and ensure disaster services reach all communities—especially those traditionally underserved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage community groups and organizations to support disaster response plans.
- Serve as a liaison between Red Cross units and external partners.
- Attend meetings and trainings with NGOs and private sector partners.
- Promote inclusive, diverse, and effective partnerships across the region.
- Support multi‑agency collaboration and report progress to supervisors.
Qualifications:
- Strong communication, diplomacy, and relationship‑building skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing needs, and maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Word and Excel; comfortable with outreach and coordination.
- Physically able to lift up to 20 lbs. and work long hours if needed.
