Member & Volunteer Committee Member

General purpose:

The Member & Volunteer Committee focuses on supporting and strengthening the Village community by helping to recruit, retain, and engage both members and volunteers. The committee helps guide efforts that grow participation, improve the member and volunteer experience, and support the long-term sustainability of the Village.

Could include:

• Reviewing monthly dashboard information to understand trends in membership and volunteer engagement
• Helping define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to members and volunteers
• Supporting programs and activities that help members stay connected, engaged, and socially supported
• Developing and supporting efforts to retain volunteers through engagement and recognition
• Assisting with outreach to community organizations to increase awareness of the Village and grow the memebr and volunteer base
• Supporting efforts that strengthen recruitment pipelines for both members and volunteers
• Reviewing data and feedback to help guide improvements in member and volunteer experience
• Reflecting on committee effectiveness and identifying areas for improvement

Village Office - KPI Team

Could include:

• Monitoring monthly dashboard data and identifying trends over time
• Helping define what success looks like for recruitment, retention, and engagement efforts
• Preparing summaries or visual reports to support committee and Board understanding
• Supporting data-driven recommendations for improving Village operations and outreach
• Tracking/reviewing key metrics related to membership growth, volunteer engagement and service activity

Village Office - Focus Team

Could include:

• Concentrating on specific engagement or outreach priorities indentified by the committee (e.g., volunteer retention, member engagement, or recruitment efforts)
• Developing targeted ideas or initiatives to address specific challenges or opportunities
• Supporting pilot programs or short-term engagement strategies
• Helping test and refine new approaches to member or volunteer connection
• Providing feedback on what is working and what may need adjustment before broader outreach
