Purpose:
As a Donor Ambassador, you’ll help ensure every blood donor has a positive experience. You’ll greet donors, assist with check-in, and thank them for their life-saving gift. Your support helps build a welcoming environment and keeps donors coming back.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome donors with a friendly attitude and explain the donation process
- Assist with check-in and guide donors through the process
- Answer questions and provide excellent customer service
- Share the Red Cross mission and educate donors about blood donation
- Encourage use of tools like RapidPass, Donor App, and BookNow
- Thank donors and help with post-donation recovery
- Make reminder calls and help reschedule appointments
- Report any concerns to staff and help maintain a safe, clean environment
Qualifications:
- Age 16+ (13–15 with adult supervision*)
- Comfortable working with diverse communities
- Professional, punctual, and reliable
- Able to use and explain basic technology (Donor App, RapidPass, etc.)
- Willing to follow Red Cross and public health policies
- Spanish-speaking encouraged in some locations (not a translator role)
- Adult supervision can be provided by a parent, guardian, teacher, or youth coordinator.
