Board of Directors – Member at Large

About the Role: Anchor & Legacy With A Purpose, Inc. is seeking passionate, community-minded individuals to join our founding Board of Directors as Members at Large. If you are dedicated to youth empowerment, creative arts, and supporting families in Dorchester and the Greater Boston area, we want your voice at our table.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mission Advocacy: Serve as an ambassador for Anchor & Legacy, sharing our mission with your professional and personal networks.
• Program Support: Provide "on-the-ground" advice and support for our core programs, including the Legacy Lab (Creative Arts) and Living Legacy Circles (Grief Support).
• Strategic Planning: Participate in monthly Board meetings to vote on organizational decisions, help set annual goals, and ensure we are staying true to our mission.
• Fundraising & Resources: Assist in identifying potential donors, grants, or community partnerships to help the organization grow.

Qualifications:

• Community Connection: A strong desire to serve the Dorchester community and an understanding of the challenges facing our youth and families.
• Diverse Perspectives: We are looking for individuals with backgrounds in Arts, Education, Social Work, Marketing, Law, or Community Organizing.
• Team Player: A collaborative spirit and a willingness to help a "startup" nonprofit build its foundation.
