    About Students 2 Science (S2S)

Students 2 Science is a nonprofit organization dedicated to making science accessible, engaging, and relevant for students of all backgrounds. Through immersive, hands-on lab experiences, we connect students with real STEM professionals who help them see what a future in science and biotechnology can look like.

    About the Opportunity

We are seeking volunteers from the biotechnology field to support our Biotechnology Career Day and ISAAC STEM programs. Volunteers will help guide students through laboratory activities that highlight key biotech concepts such as DNA, proteins, cells, and bioprocessing using equipment found in modern research and industry labs.

No teaching experience is required. Your professional insight, curiosity, and willingness to engage with students are what matter most.

    What You Will Do

    • Mentor high school students as they participate in biotechnology-focused lab activities
    • Share insights into careers in biotech, research, diagnostics, manufacturing, or quality
    • Support students as they build confidence using real laboratory tools and techniques
    • Assist with light setup, cleanup, and restocking of lab materials
    • Work alongside S2S staff and fellow volunteers to maintain a safe and welcoming lab environment

    • Shifts typically run from 8:15/8:30 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday, depending on school schedules
    • Volunteer commitments are flexible. Help out as often as your availability allows
