Project 2029 is looking for volunteer social media experts to manage Project 2029's social media presence and maintain engagement with supporters and interested parties across platforms.

About the Role

As a Social Media Coordinator, you will:

• Manage operations for our social media platforms (Twitter/X, BlueSky, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.)
• Create platform-specific content that maximizes reach and engagement
• Monitor and responds to comments, messages, and mentions in real-time
• Share vetted Project 2029 policies and organizational messages on social media accounts
• Build follower base and community engagement through consistent, authentic interaction

Our mission is to create a more perfect union, where Freedom, Opportunity, and Security are available to all, where all people are treated equally, where the three branches of government are co-equal, where corruption is exposed, and where laws are established for the good of everyone.

We are developing actionable policies to create a flourishing, transparent, and accountable government that works for all people. We are identifying and empowering new state and federal leaders to step into public service roles with the integrity and vision to implement fair and effective policies. We are rewriting the rules of governance to ignite a movement for democracy anchored in justice and committed to future generations.

Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for volunteer candidates who are excited about progressive politics and are dedicated to the idea that we can change what is happening in our country.

Ideal candidates will have excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt tone and content for various audiences and platforms.

Qualifications:

• Familiarity with a variety of social media platforms and management tools like Buffer
• Experience with content creation (graphics, video editing, copywriting)
• Experience managing social media accounts with demonstrated growth and engagement
• Ability to work remotely and communicate with colleagues electronically
