Summary of Position
Act as a representative of Jeffco Parks & Open Space by providing engaging guided tours and cultural programming at Hiwan Heritage Park and Museum.
Duties
Provide guided tours to visitors
Greet and orient visitors to Hiwan Heritage Park and Museum and JCPOS; answer questions and assist visitors
Complete defined, mission-supportive projects
Complete required trainings
Requirements
A keen interest in learning and sharing a love for history and museums
Possess effective communication skills and an interest in working with people of all ages
Comfortable talking to individuals and groups
Complete 40 hours of service annually, including required trainings
Complete required trainings
Abide by JCPOS Park Regulations and established volunteer policies and procedures outlined in the JCPOS Volunteer Handbook

- Attend New Volunteer Orientation
- All new volunteers are required to attend New Volunteer Orientation at JCPOS Headquarters to become familiar with the entire JCPOS system prior to specific program training. You must pre-register for orientation on Offero. Registration links are provided upon receipt of your application.

- Training will be arranged by the Program Coordinator
