The Volunteer Executive Director provides strategic, operational, and mission-centered leadership for Richard Turner Jr. Musical Gifts, Inc., ensuring the organization advances its mission of expanding access to musical enrichment and education.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Financial Leadership
- Develop and implement strategic plans that guide long-term goals and daily operations in alignment with the mission.
- Oversee financial management, including budgeting, fiscal oversight, and maintaining overall financial health.
- Lead fundraising efforts through grant writing, donor engagement, and campaign development.
External Relations & Representation
- Serve as the public face of the organization
- Build and maintain relationships with donors, community leaders, and partner organizations.
- Collaborate with the Board of Directors to establish priorities, strengthen governance, and ensure mission alignment.
Mission & Compliance
- Ensure all activities, programs, and decisions support the organization’s mission and core values.
- Uphold legal, ethical, and nonprofit best practices to ensure full compliance and accountability.
Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Public relations and fundraising experience
- Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, adaptable
- Passion, idealism, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed
