Use your musical talent to give quality of life to hospice patients. Whether you are a vocalist or you play an instrument, you can bring the joy of live music to patients for comfort, joy, and relaxation. Music can reduce pain, bring calm, stir the imagination, and bring back wonderful memories. Music volunteers are needed for one-on-one or duet assignment with hospice patients.
Requirements:
Volunteer Orientation - only two hours
TB Test - free
Background Check - free
Patients receiving hospice care enjoy the friendship of volunteers. Volunteers can read to patients, hold their hands, listen to music, sing, watch TV, play games, share stories, or offer caregiver respite. Your companionship ensures that patients have quality at their end of life.
Orientation is short and arranged to fit your schedule. We have flexible hours, will write letters of recommendation, be a referral, and are willing to do a Non-Paid Internship.
With our flexible schedule, you can work as many hours as you are able/willing to volunteer.
