Senior Companionship for Hospice Patients

We at Harbor Hospice care for people who have a diagnosis of 6 months or less to live if their diagnosis runs its normal course. We seek volunteers who enjoy visiting and helping others. Some patients live alone or do not have family locally and are lonely. Many love to talk, share their stories and want someone to listen and provide companionship. Some families need help with short-term respite (stay with the patient and allow the caregiver to run quick errands or to allow them much-needed personal time from day-to-day caregiving duties). We have patients that live at home, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities all over the coastal bend. Rockport, Aransas Pass, Portland, Ingleside, Taft, Sinton, and Corpus Christi.
