The CDCE office volunteer is a vital part of our day to day operations in CDCE. Our office is responsible for onboarding all volunteers, meeting with community organizations to form partnerships and receiving all donations to the VA, ensuring they get to the intended Veterans. Our volunteers in the office assist with individuals who walk in to inquire about how to volunteer, input volunteer hours into our computer system, and general office management.
The office volunteers also assist with receiving, documenting, processing and distributing the inkind donations we receive. This is a key role and requires the volunteers to be able to stand, pull or push carts, and lift up to 10 pounds and reach overhead.
Volunteers assist with prepping items for special events and with the events themselves. These roles need individuals with good people/customer service skills as well as administrative and organizational skills.
