Join AID FOR LIFE this Thanksgiving as we welcome immigrant families to experience this meaningful holiday, many for the first time.

About Us

AID FOR LIFE is an NYC-based organization that provides support and community to immigrant families in New York City. Every Saturday morning, we host community events in the Lower East Side where we serve hot meals, distribute clothing, provide free legal aid, and connect families to job opportunities and essential resources. We typically serve 100-150 people each week.

About This Event

This Thanksgiving, we're creating a warm, welcoming celebration for families who are unfamiliar with the holiday. We want to give them an experience filled with community, good food, and the spirit of togetherness that defines Thanksgiving.

What You'll Do

Volunteers will help us create a memorable day by...

• Welcoming families as they arrive
• Serving food and assisting with meal distribution
• Setting up and organizing tables before the event
• Helping with cleanup after the celebration

You'll be introduced to our community and share a meal with fellow volunteers at the end of your shift.
