Founding Board Member Opportunity: Clean Air Hats, Inc. (Volunteer)

Clean Air Hats, Inc. is a newly established Indiana non-profit focused on improving public respiratory health through innovative technology. I am seeking 3-4 volunteer board members for our inaugural Board of Directors.

About Clean Air Hats, Inc.:

Our mission is to educate the public and provide access to a new approach to personal air safety. We are currently distributing early prototypes of the MyAirHat™—a lightweight, protective hat—in exchange for donations. This process gathers feedback, supports research, and funds educational outreach, while making the technology accessible.

The MyAirHat™ utilizes molecular diffusion for protection against airborne particles (e.g., viruses, smoke, dust), a departure from traditional mechanical filtration. Respiratory issues contribute to approximately 8 million global deaths annually; we aim to offer a more effective protective measure.

To maximize accessibility, we plan to license the Clean Air Hat technology freely to manufacturers worldwide. We collaborate with health professionals and researchers to continuously improve and validate the technology.

Clean Air Hats, Inc. is operating with the intent to secure 501(c)(3) non-profit status (pending IRS approval). All income from donations is reinvested directly into our mission.

Board Member Role:

Founding board members will contribute to the strategic direction, governance, and initial development of Clean Air Hats, Inc.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing strategic oversight and guidance.
• Ensuring legal, ethical, and financial accountability.
• Approving policies and strategic plans.

Time Commitment:

This is a volunteer position. The anticipated commitment is a few virtual board meetings per year, plus occasional engagement as needed.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

We are seeking candidates with a commitment to our mission and experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Non-profit governance or startup experience.
• Public health, medical, or scientific research.
• Legal (non-profit law, IP, licensing).
• Financial management or accounting.
