    Volunteer Salesforce Developer

    About Dream Factory of Brooklyn

    Dream Factory of Brooklyn is a nonprofit organization dedicated to granting dreams to children facing critical or chronic illnesses. We are committed to bringing hope, joy, and inspiration to these children and their families. As part of our digital transformation, we are seeking a skilled Salesforce Developer (Volunteer) to support our migration and integration efforts within the Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud ecosystem.

    Role Overview

    As a Salesforce Developer (Volunteer), you will play a key role in optimizing and enhancing our Salesforce platform to improve donor and volunteer engagement. You will report directly to the Director of Salesforce and work on critical projects, including migrating from NPSP to Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud, integrating payment gateways, and building donor and recipient portals using Salesforce Experience Cloud.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Led the migration from

    Salesforce NPSP to Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud, ensuring data integrity and seamless transition.

    • Develop and implement

    integration solutions with payment gateways (e.g., Stripe, Give Lively) and donor/volunteer platforms.

    • Design, configure, and deploy

    Salesforce Experience Cloud portals for donors, recipients, and volunteers.

    • Ensure compliance with

    Salesforce security protocols and best practices.

    • Implement

    custom branding within portals to align with Dream Factory of Brooklyn’s mission and identity.

    • Provide technical guidance and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system capabilities.

    Qualifications & Skills

    • Hands-on experience with

    Salesforce NPSP and Nonprofit Cloud.

    • Strong expertise in

    Salesforce integration with third-party payment and donor management platforms.

    • Experience with

    Salesforce Experience Cloud for portal development.

    • Knowledge of

    Salesforce security best practices, including user access controls and data protection.

    • Understanding of

    Apex, Lightning Components, Flows, and API integrations.

    • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
    • Passion for nonprofit work and giving back to the community.
