Is 2026 the year that you make a difference? Volunteer Opportunities are available at Gentiva Hospice to provide friendly visits to patients and/or their families at local healthcare facilities or in personal homes in the Worcester County and surrendering areas.

Patients receiving hospice services have a prognosis of 6 months of less, although many do live for days, weeks, and years. There are members of your community who could greatly benefit from in-person companionship as well as phone calls.

What do hospice volunteers do ?

Volunteers are there to listen and talk, read a book, play cards, share time watching T.V. show, talk dogs for a walk etc. Volunteers also provide special support including playing music of working on legacy/craft project.

No matter what is your skill, talent or motivation, we have the opportunity for you to help.

How much time do I need to set aside ?

Volunteers provide a minimum of about 1 - 2 hours a per month, but you can volunteer weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or whatever fits your schedule. The most importing thing is supporting our patients and supporting you, our volunteer, as a team.
