Maternity and baby clothes are often only lightly used and are available for low prices at local thrift stores such as Other Mothers. It is cost effective to search for items that are in short supply at such stores. Since many of the volunteers help to sort and bundle the baby clothes and the client mentors help pregnant women to pick out needed maternity clothes, they can inform the Director, who can then pass on the needs to those willing to shop for the items. Baby items are usually donated more frequently than maternity items, so shopping for lightly used maternity clothes is very helpful. Volunteers are reimbursed for purchases that they make.
