We Desperately Need Your Help — Our Dogs Are Counting on Us!
You don’t have to adopt a dog to save a life. Sometimes, all it takes is a car ride, a few hours of your weekend, and a compassionate heart.
At Girls of Dog Rescue, we are dedicated to giving abandoned, neglected, surrendered, and homeless dogs the second chances they deserve. But we cannot do it alone. Every dog needs transportation to safety, veterinary appointments, foster homes, and adoption events where they can meet their future families. We urgently need dependable volunteers to help.
- Volunteer Dog Transporters — Be Their Ride to a Better Life!
Sometimes the only thing standing between a dog and a second chance is a ride.
Pick up dogs from shelters and transport them to safe placements.
Drive dogs to and from veterinary appointments, foster homes, and adoption events.
Help deliver donated food, crates, blankets, and other rescue supplies.
Communicate with rescue coordinators and follow safe animal transport procedures.
Ideal volunteers have a valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, a suitable reliable vehicle, and a compassionate, responsible attitude. Occasional or recurring help is welcome. Even one ride can save a life.
- Weekend Adoption Event Volunteers — Help Dogs Find Forever Homes!
Imagine being part of the moment when a rescue dog meets the family that will love them forever. Our weekend events make that possible, but we need more helping hands.
Set up and break down tents, tables, crates, and event supplies.
Walk, comfort, and supervise dogs while following safety guidance.
Welcome visitors, introduce adoptable dogs, and share approved rescue information.
Help with adoption inquiries, photography, fundraising, and event cleanup.
We welcome friendly, reliable volunteers who love animals and can help on occasional or regular weekends. No prior rescue experience is required; guidance will be provided.
Why We Need You So Urgently
When there are too few drivers, a dog may have to wait for a safe ride or essential care. When adoption events are understaffed, fewer dogs have the chance to meet their future families. We never want a shortage of volunteers to stand between a dog and a better life. You don’t need to donate money or make an enormous time commitment. You just need to care enough to show up.
Flexible Volunteer Opportunities
Weekend adoption events and occasional weekday or weekend transport.
One-time assignments or ongoing commitments, based on availability.
Opportunities for students and adults seeking meaningful community service.
Nonprofit Volunteer & Community Service Hours
Completed hours may be documented and verified by an authorized rescue representative. They may qualify for school, college, or other community service requirements, subject to the receiving institution’s rules. Court-ordered or probation-related service requires advance approval by the supervising court or agency; the rescue cannot guarantee acceptance.
What You Will Gain
A direct role in helping dogs reach safety, care, and loving homes.
Hands-on nonprofit animal rescue and adoption event experience.
A community of compassionate volunteers and verification of qualifying service hours.
A Personal Message From Our Rescue
Somewhere, there is a dog waiting for help. That dog doesn’t know what a volunteer is. It only knows it needs someone: someone to open the car door, gently hold its leash, sit beside it at an adoption event, and help it find its way home. That someone could be you.
You may think a few hours of your weekend is a small gesture. But to a rescued dog, those hours could mean everything.
Join Girls of Dog Rescue — We Need You!
Our dogs cannot ask for help, so we are asking for them. Every ride matters. Every adoption event matters. Every volunteer matters. And every dog deserves a second chance.
Together, we can turn compassion into action and give more rescued dogs the loving homes they deserve.
