Morning feeders are the first people the dogs see at 7am. All dogs are given short walks before returning to the barn for breakfast. Each dog is fed an individualized diet. Medications, if any, are also given according to a precise med chart. After breakfast, bowls are washed, beds are straightened and changed (if needed), floors are swept and water bowls filled. At 9am, the dogs settle down for a light snooze on a full belly until the next volunteers arrive at 10am.
Feeders are some of the most important people in the dog's day. You will be well-loved and greeted with plenty of happy tails!
Most of our work with dogs occurs outside, rain or shine. We may ask for proof of COVID-19 vaccination. We ask that you respect your fellow peers and any volunteers who have been knowingly exposed or have been traveling will isolate and only return to their shifts after testing negative.
