As our Behavior Administrative Assistant, you’ll play an important role in scheduling and managing incoming inquiries for those seeking behavior support across various programs within DPA, as well as assisting our behavior manager with social media marketing for training classes and seminars.
Team: Behavior
Location: Remote/Virtual: Virtual from anywhere, understanding we are in the CST time zone.
Time Commitment: 5-10 hours per week. Must be able to commit to a minimum of 6 months of volunteer service.
Compensation: This is a Volunteer Position with no monetary compensation. After one year of service, we issue a professional letter of recommendation from our Director of Volunteer Management and Human Resources, as well as a LinkedIn recommendation(s) as applicable.
Reports to: Tiffany Baker
Works with: Tiffany Baker as well as Support, Alumni, PASS, & Dog’s Matter Teams
Position Responsibilities:
- Respond to incoming inquiries for behavior support
- Schedule appointments for virtual and in person training sessions
- Schedule behavior assessments for programs within our organization
- Coordinate communication between our behavior manager and fosters to determine behavior support needs
- Follow up with clients after receiving behavioral support
- Send behavior resources to clients
Skills and Qualifications best suited for this position:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Proficiency with Gmail and G-Suite applications
- Fluency in English
- Ability to operate a computer or mobile device
- The following activities are required:
- Ability to operate a computer and/or mobile device.
- The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
- Animal Behavior experience is a bonus!
