Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery Group Facilitator

Individuals are needed to assist with the Alcohol and Drug Recovery Group Facilitator Program, commonly referred to as our AODA Volunteers.

The program works with clients who have alcohol, drug dependency, and other addictions. AODA Volunteers are recovering people who regularly visit area facilities (Waukesha County Jail, Waukesha County Huber Facility, Waukesha County Mental Health Center, Waukesha County Health and Human Services, and more) and reach out to those who are new to recovery or seeking support.

As a volunteer, you partner with another volunteer to share your experience, strength, and hope with men and women who have alcoholism and other drug addictions.

Our program gets people back to work, strengthens families, reduces domestic violence, and prevents dependency-related accidents and illness.

Interested applicants must have personally experienced their own addiction and be active in their own recovery. They must have a minimum of one year of sobriety to be considered. Applicants must also be free of any pending or current court obligations.
