Land Steward Volunteers play a vital role in supporting the Waukesha County Land Conservancy's efforts to protect and care for environmentally significant land and water in Waukesha County. Working alongside staff, interns, and other volunteers, Land Stewards assist with essential stewardship activities such as removing invasive species, monitoring wildlife, and maintaining trails. Our team develops management plans to guide the conservation of each property, and volunteers help bring these plans to life by working in designated conservation areas on an ongoing basis. By becoming a Land Steward Volunteer, you’ll be directly contributing to the preservation of our natural resources and helping us achieve our long-term conservation goals.
