This is a role for someone who loves being a team player. This person supports the grant writers by maintaining our potential grants list, updating grants applied/received list, gathering support materials for each grant proposal. It's a crucial role that requires:
- excellent organization
- clear communication
- relaibility
- able to meet deadlines
Responsibilities:
Own Master Grants Prospect List( https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1h1te2kjatVUXnqB0ir4rkTaIbbjy_LjVZDYDO4V1LiI/edit#gid=584344994)
- Research and add new funding opportunities
- Ensure all grant activities (i.e., grants applied for) are recorded in database (Master Grants Prospect List). Include date of application and outcome.
- Create a document that has this information for all grants applied to over past few years (Emily has begun this, but will want to be sure the next person keeps this updated)
- Revisit all solid prospects from Master Grants Prospect List toward end of calendar year/beginning of 2023 and update deadlines, available funding, any potential changes to eligibility, etc.
- Compile preliminary list of targets for 2023 calendar year
Ensure Appropriate Access for All Team Members
- Serve as point person for new team members if they cannot find something or if they find they are not copied on all ongoing grant tasks in Asana, can’t access something on Google Drive, etc.
- Make sure all grant tasks in Asana include note on when application was submitted, amount and outcome and link to final application to enhance ability to track activity in grants. Make sure this info is included in body of task.
Data Collection for Application Supporting Materials
- Collaborate with writers on grant applications by collecting additional materials requested (budgets, letters of recommendation, staff biographies for key personnel, etc.)
- Work to develop a folder that houses all of these materials in one readily accessible place
