Community Ambassadors help extend the reach and impact of Memorial Blood Centers by connecting with local organizations, workplaces, campuses, and community groups. Through relationship building, outreach, and event support, they help generate awareness, encourage new donors, and strengthen community engagement with our lifesaving mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent Memorial Blood Centers with professionalism and warmth at community events, including tabling, outreach, and presentations.
- Share accurate information about blood donation, eligibility, and ways to get involved
- Help recruit donors by promoting upcoming drives and answering basic questions
- Engage with community members to build interest in blood donation and cultivate ongoing partnerships
- Distribute promotional materials, flyers, and digital resources in the community
- Provide feedback from events and conversations to help MBC understand community needs and opportunities
- Serve as a positive, mission-driven ambassador for MBC in your campus or community network
What We’re Looking For
- A friendly, confident communicator who enjoys engaging with people and representing a cause
- Comfort speaking with individuals and small groups, including tabling and outreach
- Reliability and professionalism, especially when working independently at community events
- Ability to learn and share key messages about blood donation
- Willingness to travel locally within your community
- Completion of a background check is required (provided at no cost to you)
- Someone comfortable lifting and moving supplies and boxes (25 lbs. at the heaviest, training and equipment provided)
