At Helping Your Community Forum (HYCF), we believe in justice, dignity, and equal access to legal support. In partnership with a dedicated law firm in Mzuzu, we invite international volunteers to work alongside Malawian legal professionals to provide free legal aid and court representation to vulnerable women and children.
This is your chance to engage in hands-on legal work while helping those who need it most.
Where You’ll Work
You’ll be based in Mzuzu, a peaceful city in northern Malawi surrounded by stunning landscapes, mountains, and local charm. You’ll work directly at a partner law firm, engaging with real cases and immersing yourself in the justice system in a culturally rich setting.
Who You’ll Work With
You’ll collaborate closely with licensed Malawian lawyers, legal interns, and HYCF staff. Expect an authentic, real-world legal experience where your contributions will matter in and out of the courtroom.

Living Arrangements
During your time in Mzuzu, you’ll stay with a welcoming host family connected to HYCF and the local law firm. This is more than just accommodation — it’s a cultural exchange. You’ll enjoy:
